Driving while distracted

11 Sep

One of my pet peeves, and we all have them, is drivers who are distracted while driving. The interesting thing about this is like some diseases, we have total control over preventing this.  Do you really have to reach down for that item that fell on the floorboard? Can’t it wait until you get where your going? How about changing radio stations? Did you know that the average person spends 4.6  seconds when taking their eyes off the road when they are distracted? DWD is preventable.

My thanks to Lee of mysentimentexacLee for her educational video on the subject of driving while distracted!

Please people, for my sake and others, look where your going, and do your best not to get distracted. In the words of Smokey the Bear, only  YOU can prevent this from happening!

Er… I think changing radio station is okay. Not so much muscles there. But, I don’t answer phone calls when I’m driving. I hate, hate, hate people who TEXT while they’re behind the wheels. Grrrr!
