Rover lands on Mars

5 Aug

Congrats to the NASA and JPL teams who have worked for the last 8 years on this project. It all was worth it when the teams involved got word that the one ton sized vehicle had landed safely on the red planet. Smiles, tears, and hugs went around the room. It  made me proud to be an American. It was the best show on TV tonight without a doubt. The first pictures it relayed back to us all those millions of miles away are mind blowing.  Who knows what data Curiosity will send back to earth. Score another victory for our space program! Way to go NASA!!
